Instructor Led Basic Pistol Shooting Course Objective: The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities. The Basic Pistol Course will also help prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses. Students will learn NRA’s rules for: • Safe gun handling • Pistol and revolver parts and their function • Ammunition • Shooting Fundamentals • Range rules • Various shooting positions • Cleaning the pistol • Range exercises to help you continue your skills development and reinforce all that you have learned in class. What to bring with you: Students should bring: 1. Firearm (We can supply with ammo for $25.00) 2. Ammunition 3. Identification (drivers license, state issued ID card is OK). 4. Questions! If you do some research prior to class, and have some questions, bring them to class for discussion. 5. No open toe shoes or low cut tops.
